Activities, groups and courses from April to July 2023
Mondays
Living with parents parenting day: 9:30am to 3pm
Activity based day for both young people/teenagers and parents/carers. The course aims to encourage and rebuild communication in a fun and exciting way. This course has an amazing track record of improving family life.
The year 6 day supports children and families to prepare for the transition to secondary school.
22 May - year 6’s.
12 June - for children aged 11 to 16 years.
Tuesdays
Sensory tent hire
45 minutes sessions at:
- 9:15am to 10am
- 10:15am to 11am
- 11:15am to 12pm
A relaxing but stimulating environment, where your child can explore:
- bubble tubes
- twinkling and fibreoptic lights
- mirrors
- sounds
You can book up to 4 sessions in advance. No more than 4 adults/children per session. A parent/carer must be present at all times. For children aged 0 to 8 years with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Wednesdays
Drop-in: 10am to 11:30am
A play session where support is on hand if needed from a family worker or advisor. Open to all families with children aged 0 to 5 years.
Thursdays
Baby and me. Starts 8 June: 10am to 11:30am
Meet other parents/carers and their babies. Over 6 to 8 weeks, learn practical ideas to support you and your baby to feel confident.
Fridays
Breastfeeding support group: 9:30am to 12:30pm
Drop-in support from pregnancy through to natural term weaning. No booking required.

Some dates may change at short notice so please check before attending. All groups and activities should be booked in advance, except Drop Ins, by contacting the North Locality.
