Reporting to Trading Standards

Report a business to Trading Standards on the Citizens Advice website if you think a company has broken the law or acted unfairly.

Citizens Advice will alert Trading Standards, who will use the information you give to decide whether to investigate and will only contact you if more information is needed. Even if Trading Standards don't contact you, your information may be used to take action against the business in the future, for example if other people make complaints about the same business.

Finding a trustworthy business

Visit the Buy with Confidence website to find a business or service that have been vetted and approved by Trading Standards to ensure that they operate in a legal, honest and fair way.
