Purbeck area pleasure boat and boatman's licence

You must be licenced as a boatman before you can get a pleasure boat licence.

Each licence is valid from 1 April (unless Good Friday is earlier) to 31 October.

Before you apply

You should:

• complete the Boatman's Medical Certificate form (if required)
• contact the council's boat inspector, who will inspect your vessel
• ask the boat inspector to complete this boat assessor's form
