Open Space Notice Local Government Act 1972 Section 123(2a)


Dorset Council gives notice of its intention to dispose of an area of land which consists or forms part of an areas of deemed open space. The land to be disposed of, by way of freehold transfer is: Land on the north side of Fitzpain Road, Ferndown. Land Registry title number DT31588.

It is proposed that the land to be sold, having an area of 5,673 sqm (1.4 acres) or thereabouts, is to continue in its current use as public open space.
Plans showing the area of land intended for disposal (outlined in red) can be inspected at County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XJ between the hours of 9:00am and 4:45pm Monday to Friday. The plans are also available online.

The land to be disposed of, by way of freehold transfer is:  Charborough Way Green Public Open Space, Sturminster Marshall also known as: Land on the southwest side of Railway Drive & Land on the northwest side of Lambs Lane. It is proposed that the land to be sold, having an area of 0.4ha (1 acre) or thereabouts, is to continue in its current use as public open space.

The land to be disposed of, by way of a long lease is:  This land lies on the southern edge of Corfe Mullen and is held freehold under Land Registry title DT203746 and measures approximately 1.2ha (approximately 3 acres). The land is part of Upton Heath/Springdale Road Nature Reserve and is currently managed by Dorset Council.
