Emergency out of hours call out service for Dorset Council properties

If you have an emergency issue that cannot wait until the next working day, please call the out of hours call out number.  The type of emergencies that can be reported are as follows; total loss of heating, power, or water supply, major leaks that cannot be turned off by the stopcock, electrical faults where there is a risk of shock or fire, gas leaks, fume spillage from appliances or flues, or dangerous structural faults.

A telephone messaging system is in place to advise properties which property surveyors are on duty for a given week. A contact number for the on-duty property surveyor will be given. The messaging system is updated weekly as the call out rota changes on a weekly basis.

Please ensure you call the messaging system first as there could have been rota changes since the original rota.

The emergency arrangements should only be used only for emergencies at weekends, bank holidays and outside office working hours. Office working hours are 8.30am to 5.20pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am to 4pm on Friday.  During office hours, or for items which are not an emergency, please call the maintenance helpdesk.
