Built in 1754, Came House is a fine example of Palladian architecture and is part of a private estate in the heart of Thomas Hardy’s Dorset, ten minutes from the Jurassic Coast. Exclusively yours for the weekend, you can share its timeless charm with family and friends as if it were your own. Came is a highly versatile venue with all the formal rooms licensed for civil ceremonies - the largest being the unique domed conservatory, designed by the architect Charles Fowler. There are several outdoor options too, within the gardens and the woods or at the front of the house beneath the entrance porch. Their dedicated wedding team are on hand to help and guide you throughout the planning process and ceremony.

Summer drinks receptions can be held in the extensive formal gardens or on the terrace, and the wedding breakfast can be held in the elegant drawing room or in a marquee in the garden for larger parties. After the celebrations, guests can stay in the main house or in the Garden House next door. Alternatively, glamping or camping accommodation can be arranged.
