Wraparound childcare is a government programme that aims to increase the availability of childcare for primary school-aged children before and after school. Provision should be available between 8am and 6pm on weekdays during term time.
Funding is still available for wraparound childcare.
As part of the childcare reforms, the Department for Education (DfE) invested £289 million of start-up funding across the country over two academic years. This funding supports local authorities to introduce and expand childcare provision through schools and childcare providers.
If you are an existing provider on the Dorset Council wraparound programme and are not yet fully self-sustaining, contact us to discuss further funding opportunities.
