The Piddle Valley and Cerne Giant route is gritted as follows:
- London Road, onto B3143, onto B3142, along Waterston Lane to and around A35 roundabout, over A35 to and around next roundabout and into Puddletown
- continue gritting High Street and New Street Road to St Marys Middle School
- return to traffic lights to grit to and around A35 roundabout and under the A35 to slip road
- return to Waterston T-junction to grit B3143 to Buckland Newton, then Factory Lane, Gales Hill and up to BP garage on B3147
- grit from North Street through Charminster, along A352 onto Tiley Knap and Kennels Lane
- return to Tiley Knap junction to grit B3146 into Glanvilles Wootton
- return to Kennels Lane junction to grit down Revels Hill to Buckland Newton junction
- grit Herrison Road, through Charlton Down to A352
