The Blackmore route is gritted as follows:
- along A357 through Stalbridge to Thornhill, all the way to Poplar Hill junction in Shillingstone
- Polar Hill to Okeford Fitzpaine, Castle Lane and back to A357 junction
- return to A357 to grit Glue Hill junction through Hazelbury Bryan village, loop past the school and back to the monument
- down The Causeway, The Common to King’s Stag then along the B3143 to A3030
- continue along A3030 towards top of Sherborne Hill, onto A352 to New Road junction
- return to top of Sherborne Hill A3030 junction to A352 through Longburton to Holnest Park crossroads
- along B3146 through Glanvilles Wootton to Duntish Cross
- through Duntish to Factory Lane
- return to Duntish Cross to grit B3143 through Pulham to Kings Stag
- return to B3143 junction with A3030 to grit A3030 to A357 junction
