Public Consultation: The Dorset Council (Lenthay Road, Sherborne) (School Street) (Prohibition of Motor Vehicles) (Experimental Order) 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Council of Dorset has made the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

When the Experimental Order comes into operation on the 2 February 2026 the effect will be to prohibit the driving of motor vehicles on a section of Lenthay Road, Sherborne during the hours of 2:45pm until 3:30pm on every school day.

The reasons for proceeding by way of experimental order is to assess the effects of the changes before Dorset Council considers whether the provisions of the Experimental Traffic Regulation Order shall continue in force indefinitely. Relevant exemptions will apply where appropriate and as necessary in accordance with the provisions of the Order.

Notice is hereby given that the Council of Dorset has made the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. Relevant exemptions will apply where appropriate and as necessary in accordance with the provisions of the Order.

When the Experimental Order comes into operation on the 23 February 2026 the effect will be to prohibit the driving of motor vehicles on a section of Washpond Lane, Swanage during the hours of 8:20am until 8:30am and 3:25pm until 3:35pm on every school day.

The reason for proceeding by way of experimental order is to assess the effects of the changes before Dorset Council considers whether the provisions of the Experimental Traffic Regulation Order shall continue in force indefinitely.

Made Order: The County of Dorset (Various Roads, Upton) (20mph Speed Limit) (No. 14) Order 2026

Dorset Council in partnership with Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

When the Order comes into operation on 30 May 2026 the effect of the Order will be to introduce new lengths of 20mph speed limits along various roads in Upton.
