A team of casual Artz and Sportz support staff are on hand to assist and support the children to ensure they have the best experience and are safe. Our team is experienced, friendly, and welcoming with staff of all ages and all professions.

There is gentle but positive encouragement from the staff to engage the children. They all have a passion for helping children to enjoy life and take part.

The staff attend regular training and keep up to date with mandatory first aid, GDPR, health and safety and safeguarding.

All the activities are run by:

  • professional community artists
  • Dorset Council Action Van Team
  • Level 3 Sports coaches
  • Forest School Leaders
  • other specialist providers

1:1 support

1:1 support will be provided by an Artz+ Sportz+ support workers if your child needs it. The project will endeavour to accept children with all disabilities including:

  • severe behavioural challenges
  • children with complex needs

It could be your child’s needs are outside the expertise of the Artz+ Sportz+ support staff. In these cases, we allow children to attend with either parental supervision or with their existing Personal Assistant (PA) to allow parents a break.

Please fill out a Care Passport when booking. This is to help staff understand your child’s needs and how to support them.
