How much you might have to contribute towards the cost of your care
You might be eligible for help towards the cost of your social care if you have less than £23,250 in savings.
The process to find out how much you might have to pay towards your social care will start with a care needs assessment. This will show how much care you need. If you do require care, the next step may be a financial assessment. This is a means test which will work out how much you will have to contribute towards the cost of your care.
If you are not eligible for financial support towards your care, you are known as a self-funder and information and advice is available to you.Financial assessment
