Knowing our workforce
As a local authority we are legally required to monitor and publish a variety of information about our workforce under the Public Sector Equality Duty.
Data collected provides an insight to the kind of people that work for the council and whether the representation reflects the community it serves by the protected characteristics. It helps to assess current resources and plan activity to consider targeting any under-represented groups in the future.
At present, data is still being used from the former councils that existed prior to 1 April 2019.
