Full fibre broadband, sometimes called Fibre to the Premises or FTTP, is available in your area now, giving you access to some of the fastest internet speeds.

Because the connection is 100% fibre you will be able to get download speeds of up to 300mbps (megabits per second) today, and the technology is capable of speeds of up to 1,000mbps when these packages become available.

The technology brings a fibre cable directly from the telephone exchange into your home or business.

Get full fibre broadband

You won’t be upgraded to a faster broadband speed automatically. You'll need to:

  • contact your preferred internet service provider and ask what broadband packages (and extras) are available to you - businesses and homes may have different packages
  • many internet providers do not offer a FTTP service so you may need to switch from your current package
  • select a package that suits you and take out a new contract
  • your provider will arrange for your service to be installed and upgraded

Full fibre broadband providers

Not all Internet Service Providers (ISPs) offer FTTP. You may need to consider changing to one that does if you wish to access the increased speeds.

Those providing a FTTP service over the Openreach network in Dorset include:
