Brexit risk register summary

We have published a high-level risk register that considers the potential implications of a No Deal Brexit for the council. This report assesses risk and identifies the threats and opportunities. 

The report summarises what the council is doing, or could do, to make sure any potential negative effects on our residents and services are minimised, while any opportunities are maximised. 

The current areas of risk that the groups are focussing on are:

  • regulatory services (such as trading standards and environmental health) 
  • business support including economic development to support businesses
  • waste 
  • community engagement and cohesion 
  • warning and informing
