Nominate an asset

Before you start

To nominate an asset you will need to:

• check if the asset is already designated

If it is not, you will need to identify the asset using our interactive map.

We will need, at least:

• the asset name
• the asset address
• identification on a map, where possible
• the asset type. See our guide for help working out which type of asset you are nominating

Nominations for the local list must be at least 30 years old. A case can be made for younger assets but they must be outstanding in multiple values to be considered.

You will also need to provide:

• a description of how it meets the criteria. See our guide on different nomination criteria you can use
• photograph(s). See our guide on photos, it includes:
  • file size
  • format
  • how to take the best photos
  • what to do if you can't get any photos
• your contact details. This is optional but is needed if you want us to keep you up to date with your nomination
