Passenger Carrying Vehicle (PCV) driver training for D and D1 licence
We provide training courses run by a registered PCV Driving Instructor for both Passenger Carrying Vehicle licence categories D1 and D.
To obtain a PCV licence (Category D or D1) candidates must be at least 21 years old and already hold a full car (Category B) licence.
The process of obtaining your PCV licence is as follows:
- obtain your provisional licence (Form D2)
- have a medical to prove you are physically fit to drive a PCV (Form D4)
- pass the theory tests, consisting of multiple choice questions and hazard perception
- book your practical driver training course with us - once you have passed your theory we will be pleased to arrange a convenient date to start your training
Once you have passed your driving test, you will need to complete the Initial CPC qualification; a Case Study and a Practical Walk Round test.
We will provide you with all the support and assistance needed to achieve your goals. At the Dorset Travel Training Centre our experienced trainers are there to help you every step of the way, a quick and easy process to get the licence you require.
