Ultimate Elton And The Rocket Band

Plus Special guest Marilyn Monroe Tribute

Friday 22 April - 7:30pm

Ultimate Elton And The Rocket Band' is the ultimate tribute show to Sir Elton John!

Some artists look like their idols, and others sound like them: Paul Bacon does both!

Paul Bacon embodies Sir Elton's persona so much that Sir Elton's mother Sheila actually invited Paul and the band to perform at her 90th birthday party! And his striking resemblance to Sir Elton John stunned Sir Elton's long-time manager John Reid.

Paul Bacon began his career in the early 1980s, when he studied Performing Arts at university: his likeness and bearing to Sir Elton John, led to tribute shows, and today he is one of the leading tribute artists in the world. He won the National Tribute Awards in 2013; his dedication is so absolute, he even wears Sir Elton's actual clothes, sourced from the 'Out the Closet' sales.

Bacon has also released his own single 'You take my breath away' which is produced by Stuart Epps, who has worked with Sir Elton himself, as well as Led Zeppelin and Robbie Williams. Epps, who was at some of Elton John's first rehearsals with Nigel Olsson and Dee Murray, commends Ultimate Elton, saying the group has the same raw energy of the original line-up.
