We want to reassure you that we're following the COVID-19 advice from the Department for Education (DfE) when arranging school transport. We will update this page if the guidance changes.

Taking your child to school yourself

Contact us to let us know if you want to take your child to school yourself instead of using school transport because of concerns about COVID-19.

You won't you lose your school transport place. You can contact us if you decide that you'd like your child to use the school transport again.

Try to give as much notice as possible as it will take time to arrange the transport.

Students with COVID-19 symptoms

Students should not use school transport if they have any symptoms or live with someone who has symptoms and should follow the government guidance on self-isolating.

Measures in place on school transport

We have measures in place to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 on school transport.

We are:

  • using the same driver on all vehicles where possible
  • cleaning our vehicles every day
  • leaving the windows on all school vehicles open wherever possible
  • encouraging students to wear face coverings while travelling on school transport

Some of this guidance may not apply to children and young people with special educational needs and disability (SEND) on school transport.
