Work is ongoing to design Enmore Green Link Road, between the B3081 and the A30 west of Shaftesbury, as part of the Gillingham Growth Package. The project aims to significantly reduce traffic travelling to and from Gillingham through Shaftesbury.
Funding secured by the Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership through the Government’s Growth Deal is enabling the design of Enmore Green Link Road. At this time, funding has not been secured to prepare a planning application for the route, carry out detailed design or construct the scheme.
As a result, there is not currently any timescale for delivery of this scheme.
The £3.18m Growth Deal funding for the Gillingham Growth Package improved pedestrian and cycle facilities between Cemetery Road and Station Road, and around the B3081 junctions through town. These junction improvements have been completed.
