Refugee schemes save lives. They offer stability to those most in need of protection. Refugees do not leave their countries out of choice. They are forced to leave by conflict and violence.
Volunteer
If you would like to volunteer to support refugees and asylum seekers in Dorset, you can:- register with the Volunteer Centre Dorset. You can register interest in supporting refugees and asylum seekers, but they also have other volunteering opportunities. You can also volunteer to support residents of the Bibby Stockholm
- approach Community groups and organisations directly to ask if they require volunteers
- some organisations have their own routes to recruit volunteers, such as, Skills and Learning, who are offering English lessons
- many community groups are listed on the Help and Kindness website
Voluntary and Community Sector
