Supplementary Guidance - West Dorset, Weymouth & Portland

Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) support policies within Development Plan Documents (DPDs). They do not form part of the development plan but are material considerations in decision taking.

The council can no longer adopt VDSs as SPG, under the current planning system. When deciding the influence of these documents, consideration will be given to their conformity with the local plan and extent and response to public consultation.
