Pay or challenge a parking fine issued by Dorset County Council
Your ticket will start with: PU, NM, DS or UA
Prior to the formation of Dorset Council. Dorset County Council were responsible for on-street parking in Christchurch, East Dorset, North Dorset, Purbeck, West Dorset and Weymouth and Portland. As well as car parks in Purbeck (Wareham and Corfe Castle) and Weymouth Park and Ride. Any parking fines issued before 1 April 2019 can be challenged or paid here.
There are two deadlines to which you can pay your parking fine. If payment is made within the shorter time specified on the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN), this will reduce your fine by half. After this time the maximum higher rate applies.

Challenge a parking fine
Your challenge must be received by us within 14 working days of the parking fine being issued

The information we need with your informal challenge:

the serial number of the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN)

the date when the parking fine was issued
-
the vehicle registration number
-
an explanation of the circumstances
In addition, when relevant, you must:

supply supporting documentation, such as a copy of a pay and display ticket or blue badge

provide written evidence from an independent third party, eg the garage that repaired your car

quote the serial number of a valid permit for the parking area
