About Script to Screen - Creative Writing with Anthony Burt

Anthony Burt is a qualified youth worker, screenwriter, journalist, and children's author originally from Weymouth.

He's written scripts for Doctor Who comics, trained professional scriptwriters in Los Angeles, and just entertained 8000 children this August as host of the Imagination Lab at the Edinburgh Book Festival.

Anthony has written and edited children's books for Harper Collins, Disney, Nickelodeon, and Macmillan and he's currently working on a top secret middle-grade adventure series for a publisher!

Anthony enjoys being a writer because you're allowed to let your imagination run wild. So, come and join him for an exciting, fun, inspirational - and most probably a bit weird - trip into your wild imagination and learn how to create amazing characters and stories, and see how your ideas can go from a book or script and onto the screen!

Anthony's creative writing workshop is aimed at 12-16 year olds.
