About Making Theatre: A Weymouth Story

Fancy doing something dramatic this Autumn?!

Then why not come and try out the ‘making theatre’ workshops at Weymouth library!

This small informal group meets weekly to have fun, make friends, learn new skills and create short performances together.

Suitable for all levels of experience, and complete beginners are very welcome.

What to expect:

  • A fun and friendly drama workshop led by an arts professional
  • Some gentle physical activity, and lots of laughter
  • Learn new drama skills and try acting
  • Opportunities to have your creative ideas, and voice heard.

The group will meet every Thursday at 10.00 until December 19th.

Artist in residence Gemma Alldred is an experienced community theatre practitioner and has been working in Arts and Health since 2007. Her workshops give people a chance to learn about theatre, develop ideas, build confidence and make new friends. Gemma writes and performs her own material and teaches. She will share these skills with you, drawing out your stories about Weymouth and making them come to life.
