About Dorset Police contact point
The Dorset Police contact point is in Dorchester Library and Learning Centre.
Following changes to Dorset Police counter service provisions, the Force is working in partnership with Dorset Council libraries to implement the first of its pilot contact points at Dorchester Library and Learning Centre.
Changes to CPV service hours until further notice
Mondays: 3 and 10 February 10am to 1pm - thereafter Mondays are suspended until further staffing available.
All Wednesdays 10am to 1pm (except 12 February 2020 - closed)
Thursdays are suspended temporarily until further staffing arranged.
All phone enquiries can be made via 101 for non-urgent enquiries or 999 in an emergency situation. Non urgent enquiries and reports can also be made via email@example.com
Volunteers from Dorset Police will be there to provide the local public with:
- convenient online services
- 101 telephone access
- crime prevention information
Outside of these hours ask library staff to help you get online.
The new contact point, which is managed by volunteers, is a key support to help the public engage with the police.
