Welcome to the Dorset Council Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) online learning modules.
Who the course is for
This course is for individuals who need to request, manage and administer DBS checks in their service.
Senior and recruiting managers
You should complete the first module, DBS policy and procedure, to ensure you are aware of your responsibilities.
The assessment for the DBS policy and procedure module contains questions based on the YouTube video. Make sure you've reviewed all of the resources before attempting the assessment.
Business Unit (BU) administrators and ID verifiers
You should complete the first module, DBS policy and procedure, as well as the relevant additional modules, which will guide you through the Employment Check system and the offline processes for:
- setting up DBS applications
- filling in the application form on behalf an applicant
- conducting ID verification
The assessments for the business unit administrator and the ID verifier modules contains questions based on the YouTube videos and the system guides. Make sure you've reviewed all of the resources before attempting the assessment for that module.
