You or your child has tested positive for COVID-19

If you are self-isolating because you have tested positive for COVID-19 you may be eligible for a £500 Test and Trace Support Payment. You may also be eligible if you are unable to work due to caring for a child or young person who has tested positive for COVID-19.

New rules from 16 August 2021 affecting close contacts

As of 16 August 2021, fully vaccinated adults are no longer required to self-isolate if identified as a close contact by NHS Test and Trace. This means they are no longer eligible for the Test and Trace Support Payment scheme. People under 18 who are identified as a  contact of someone with COVID-19 are also no longer required to self-isolate. Therefore, most parents and guardians will be ineligible for the Test and Trace Support Payment scheme from the 16 August 2021.

This scheme will run until 31 March 2022.
