Positive benefits of remote working
During this time of uncertainty and change, it will be good to focus on some positives!
This will vary for everyone, but we think working from home brings these benefits:
- no daily commute, saving many of you time and money
- it helps the environment; less travel = less pollution
- flexibility; depending on your role you could vary your working hours, take breaks as and when needed, have a chat on the phone to your friends and family
- wearing comfy clothes; depending on any video calls you may have you can put on your favourite old hoodie
- do chores; either in your lunch break or before you start work, freeing up more time at the weekend to be with your family
- no office distractions; if you need to concentrate on a piece of work this can be helpful to just get your head down and concentrate (depending on who is at home with you!)
- more time with loved ones; extra time with a relative, partner, children or simply or for some extra snuggles with your pet
- a better work/home life balance
- we can continue to provide critical services for our residents, and we can all be part of it
