Safeguarding adults for managers of provider services

To inform managers who do not supervise investigators on practice in relation to the abuse of adults at risk.

Course objectives

By the end of this event, participants will be able to:

  • describe stages of practice in investigating
  • describe good preventative practice
  • state Dorset's procedures in relation to investigating the abuse of adults at risk
  • state current law in relation to adult abuse

Target group

All managers within Dorset Council Adult and Community Services, who do not manage investigators and who have not attended this course within the last three years. Also, managers in the voluntary and independent sector.

Please note applicants must have previously undertaken Essential Safeguarding Adults Skills training to be eligible to attend.
