Medication refresher courses (residential older people/learning disabilities)

This interactive course is designed to ensure staff are updated with current guidelines and legislation in regard to handling medication, covering key aspects of administration and handling of medicines in the care home setting.

14 March 2019 Princes House, Dorchester 1.30pm to 4.45pm Spaces available

Learning outcomes

To refresh knowledge of:

  • safe procedures for handling medicines
  • latest guidelines and legislation with regard to medication handling
  • potential problems with medicines and how to avoid/overcome them

Target group 

Any staff member who has previously attended the foundation course and requires a refresher (recommendation every 2 years).

Qualified staff who require an update on procedures and guidelines.
