Bridport Neighbourhood Plan Referendum on 27 February 2020 - Notice of poll

Notice of poll for Bridport Neighbourhood Plan area referendum

1. A referendum will be held on Thursday 27 February 2020 to decide on the question below:-

"Do you want Dorset Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Bridport to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"

2. The hours of poll will be from 7am to 10pm.

3. The situation of the Polling Stations and the description of persons entitled to vote there is as follows:

4.  Electors and their proxies should take note that applications to vote by post must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 12 February 2020, if they are to be effective for this election.  This includes electors or their proxies who wish to make alterations to their existing arrangements on a permanent basis or who wish to make separate application for their ballot paper to be sent to a different address for this particular election.

Applications to vote by appointing a proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by no later than 5pm on Wednesday 19 February 2020.

A person can apply to vote by ‘emergency’ proxy if they learn they cannot go to the polling station because of their occupation, service or employment, or a medical condition, illness or disability arises after 5pm on Wednesday 19 February 2020.  The application MUST reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on the date of the poll.

All applications and notices regarding absent voting must be sent to the Electoral Registration Officer, Council Offices, South Walks House, South Walks Road, Dorchester, Dorset DT1 1UZ.
