Dorset Council ran the Police and Crime Commissioner election in its electoral area on behalf of the Police Area Returning Officer (PARO) for the Dorset police force area. The PARO, Graham Farrant, Chief Executive of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, had overall responsibility for the election process.
