Coronavirus (COVID-19): updates and advice.

Virtual committee meetings

As a result of the current COVID-19 outbreak, Dorset Council will be hosting its committee meetings virtually following changes to legislation.

The council had suspended face-to-face meetings since the introduction of COVID-19 restrictions. New regulations now enable decision making processes to continue in accordance with the Government’s guidance on social distancing.

Upcoming virtual committee meetings

You can find weblinks to observe the Dorset Council's committee meetings on each of the meeting webpages.

Dorset Council's calendar of meetings shows the upcoming committee meetings and on each meeting's webpage you will see all the reports for the meeting and a weblink to watch the committee live.

Accessing virtual committee meetings

Dorset Council's virtual committee meetings are hosted by Microsoft Teams Live or streamed directly to YouTube. The weblink on the committee's webpage will take you to the correct one.

If the meeting you wish to observe is hosted by Microsoft Teams Live and you are using an iPhone/iPad or android phone/tablet, you will be prompted to download the Microsoft Teams app (available in the App Store or from Google Play). This app is free to download and does not require a Microsoft account.

Previous virtual committee meetings

Recordings of virtual committee meetings will be available shortly after the meeting on each of Dorset Council's committee webpages, where you can also view the accompanying agenda, reports and minutes.
