Ansbury Guidance is a Dorset based charity commissioned by us (Dorset Council) to deliver information, advice guidance and tracking services. They deliver these services to young people aged from 13 to 19 (or to 24 for some more vulnerable young people), who live in Dorset.

It's a government requirement for all local authorities to report on the number of 16 to18 year olds in their area who are in employment, education or training. Ansbury Guidance is commissioned by us to:

Ansbury advisers will call, email, write to or even visit any young people who aren't registered with a post 16 learning provider, such as:

  • a college
  • a sixth form
  • a training provider

This is to check if they need any help in finding a job or course.

Ansbury Advisers may also see young people in schools and colleges to give them careers advice, guidance and support to help them achieve their career goals and aspirations.

Ansbury Advisers are all professionally qualified in careers advice and guidance. They also hold Enhanced DBS checks.
