Early years and childcare during coronavirus
Early years settings and registered childcare providers remain open. Parents and carers of children under the age of 5 can continue to use these settings as normal.
You can use other childcare activities including breakfast and after school clubs so that you can:
- work
- look for work
- attend training or education
You can form a childcare bubble with another household to set up informal childcare if your child is age 13 or under.
For more information read the government's guidance on opening early years and childcare.
Speak to your child's school or childcare provider to find out what measures they're taking to keep your child safe. Registered childcare providers in Dorset have carried out risk assessments and are following government, Public Health and Dorset Council guidance. Childcare settings are working closely with Public Health and Dorset Council to safely manage any coronavirus cases.
