  • Superfast and Ultrafast – high-speed broadband rollout and improved mobile coverage
  • Enmore Green link road, Gillingham development
  • North-South links between M4 and South Coast ports
  • highways, traffic movement and transport links to Employment sites in Growth Towns
  • integrated parking and transport strategies for Weymouth and Dorchester
  • A354 Portland highway improvements
  • flood defence schemes at Weymouth, Lyme Regis and West Bay
  • bus interchanges improvements in Weymouth
  • pedestrians and cycle user improvements in town centres
  • growth towns and rural areas programme of support

Studies conducted to contribute to this programme

  • assessment of transport and movement to test the physical infrastructure of redevelopment sites. This included how they relate to existing infrastructure and car parking
  • assessment of improvements to traffic system, including encouraging use of public transport
  • assess improvements and creation of more pedestrianisation
  • Improvement to bus and rail interchanges
